The CEMTF has been instrumental in researching and supporting replicable legislation for the Bay Area. In addition to the Climate Emergency Declaration in Berkeley that helped to kick start the region’s climate emergency initiative. The best legislation considers impact across as many spectrums as possible. Climate change, though it will affect everyone, will not affect everyone equally. This is why impacted communities and advocates must be a part of any legislative actions. We strive to create a coalition that includes impacted communities and legislatures in the same room.
