CEMTF Virtual Summit Series

CEMTF summits are structured to educate and engage the community on regenerative climate policies and practices. Since 2020, CEMTF has delivered five, 3 hour series annually that delved into a variety of topics including:

• How do we achieve an environmental just and regenerative future?

• What policies can we promote to create a fossil free Bay Area?

• How can the Bay Area increase green infrastructure to include all-electric buildings, transportation, and 100% renewable energy?

• What tools do we need to create sustainable production and consumption of resources?

• What actions can we take together to actively advocate for the changes we've identified?

Additionally, the summit series include topics that are not typically discussed when speaking of the climate crisis. You can watch the recordings of all the CEMTF Virtual Summit Series in our resources.

Convening Partners

From inception, CEMTF has been committed to building our organizational structure, priorities, and strategic plan around impacted voices and environmental leaders in the Bay Area. We’ve been intentional in reaching out to diverse organizations and stakeholders to participate in our monthly open meetings. We’ve also hosted two community listening sessions: a NGO, activist, grassroots listening session and an elected official listening session. These allowed us to better understand these group’s priorities and obstacles in creating climate action.

There has been immense value in convening partners across sectors that normally work in silos. It’s led to more collaborative and innovative ideas and created a stronger coalition for actions.

Community Visioning/ Alameda County Climate Scorecard

In addition to convening partners, CEMTF has worked to create mutual, shared visions of action and the future across this diverse coalition.

CEMTF is proud of the College Corp Fellows who worked hard to develop a climate scorecard to evaluate the performance of the fourteen cities in Alameda County in responding to the climate emergency. The scorecard seeks to provide a comprehensive and comparative analysis of each city's performance, highlighting areas of success and identifying opportunities for improvement, with the ultimate goal of fostering a more just, sustainable and resilient Alameda County.
